Foggy Fears

Foggy Fears

Hello internet human and welcome to my first blog post. I don’t know why it has taken me all these years to finally start a blog, but the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago and the second-best time is today.

I have been feeling foggy in nearly all aspects of my life. Foggy about the future of the world, the stress of a new house, the worry about the safety of my family. It feels like I am driving in a snowstorm and cannot see through the windshield to safely navigate the road. This foggy feeling started at the beginning of the pandemic and subsided for a while, but my windshield has fogged up again.

So when your windshield is fogging up, what can you control? You can spray that anti-freeze on the windshield. You can turn on your heat defogger. You can even pull over to the side of the road and wipe off your windshield with a cloth! Yes, pulling over—taking a break—is within your control!

Make a list and I bet you there are more things than you thought there were currently within your grasp. Let this list remind you to let go of the things you have no control over and focus on the things you do. If you feel like it, draw a little picture to go with them. Even the act of making the list will anchor you in the present. What you focus on you make more of, so focus on things you have the power to change.

Sending you all peace, love, and healing vibes.
